    Hakim Ibn Hizam - Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm - sagte: „Ich bat den Gesandten Allahs - Allahs
    Heil und Segen auf ihm - (um Almosen), und er gab mir.
    Ich fragte noch einmal, und er gab mir.
    Und noch einmal fragte ich ihn, und er gab mir.
    Dann sagte er: ‚Oh Hakim! Wahrlich, dieser
    Reichtum ist wie eine frische süße Frucht. Wer es ohne Geiz nimmt, wird damit gesegnet, und wer
    es mit Geiz nimmt, wird damit nicht gesegnet.
    Wie eine Person, die isst, jedoch nicht zufrieden
    (satt) wird, und die obere Hand ist besser als die untere Hand.'" Hakim fügte hinzu: „So sagte ich:
    ‚Oh Gesandter Allahs, bei Dem, der dich mit der Wahrheit entsandt hat, ich werde von niemandem mehr nach dir etwas annehmen, bis ich diese Welt verlasse.'" Später pflegte Abu Bakr - Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm - Hakim zu rufen, um ihm seinen Teil der Kriegsbeute zu geben, doch er lehnte ab. Auch 'Umar rief ihn, um ihm seinen Teil der Kriegsbeute zu geben,
    doch er lehnte es ab etwas anzunehmen. Daher sagte 'Umar:

    Hakim Ibn Hizam - Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm - sagte: „Ich bat den Gesandten Allahs - Allahs
    Heil und Segen auf ihm - (um Almosen), und er gab mir.
    Ich fragte noch einmal, und er gab mir.
    Und noch einmal fragte ich ihn, und er gab mir.
    Dann sagte er: ‚Oh Hakim! Wahrlich, dieser
    Reichtum ist wie eine frische süße Frucht. Wer es ohne Geiz nimmt, wird damit gesegnet, und wer
    es mit Geiz nimmt, wird damit nicht gesegnet.
    Wie eine Person, die isst, jedoch nicht zufrieden
    (satt) wird, und die obere Hand ist besser als die untere Hand.'" Hakim fügte hinzu: „So sagte ich:
    ‚Oh Gesandter Allahs, bei Dem, der dich mit der Wahrheit entsandt hat, ich werde von niemandem mehr nach dir etwas annehmen, bis ich diese Welt verlasse.'" Später pflegte Abu Bakr - Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm - Hakim zu rufen, um ihm seinen Teil der Kriegsbeute zu geben, doch er lehnte ab. Auch 'Umar rief ihn, um ihm seinen Teil der Kriegsbeute zu geben,
    doch er lehnte es ab etwas anzunehmen. Daher sagte 'Umar:
    „Oh Muslime! Wahrlich, ich habe euch als Zeugen, dass ich Hakim seinen Teil der Kriegsbeute angeboten habe, wobei er die Annahme verweigerte." Er nahm nach dem Gesandten Allahs - Allahs Heil und Segen auf ihm -
    nie wieder von jemandem etwas, bis er starb."

    Der Prophet, Allāhs Segen und Friede auf ihm, sagte (zu seinen Gefährten):

    „Dieses euer Feuer, das der Sohn Adams (d. h. die Menschen) anzündet, gleicht in Bezug auf die Hitze nur einem Teil von siebzig Teilen, die die Hitze des Höllenfeuers ausmachen."
    Da sagten sie (die Gefährten): „Bei Allāh, es wäre (als Bestrafung) genug gewesen, wenn das Höllenfeuer nur so stark wie das irdische Feuer gewesen wäre, O Allāhs Gesandter."
    Der Prophet erwiderte: „Das Höllenfeuer übertrifft das irdische Feuer an Hitze, indem es andere neunundsechzig
