Die Almosensteuer ist ein Befehl in der Bibel, die im Speziellen an die Armen und Bedürftige gegeben wurde, und nicht als eine Steuer für die Kirche genommen wird. 1. Die Almosensteuer, befohlen an Moses, Friede sei auf ihn Deuteronomium 15:11„...darum gebiete ich dir und sage, daß du deine Hand auftust deinem Bruder, der bedrängt und arm ist in deinem Lande." Deuteronomium 14:22 „Du sollst alle Jahre den Zehnten absondern alles Ertrages deiner Saat, der aus deinem Acker kommt," Kommentar: „Der Zehnt" ist ein Zehntel des jährlichen Ertrags von Land oder Arbeit, der f estgelegt ist und andie Armen jährlich abgegeben werden muss. 2. Jesus, Friede sei auf ihm, empfiehlt die Almosensteuer Matthäus 6:3 4 „Wenn du aber Almosen gibst, so laß deine linke Hand nicht wissen, was die rechte tut, auf daß dein Almosen verborgen sei; und dein Vater, der in das Verborgene sieht, wird dir's vergelten öffentlich." Deshalb sollte jeder darüber nachdenken: Was ist mit dieser Praxis der Almosensteuer passiert? Warum wird sie heutzutage nicht praktiziert?Und wer hat diese Praxis heutzutage beibehalten? Definition: Der Begriff Zakat bedeutet übersetzt Reinheit bzw. Reinigung. Diese Reinigung steht in direktem Zusammenhang mit dem Begriff Sadaqa (Spende). Dies ergibt sich aus dem Vers 103 der Sure 9:
"Nimm aus ihrem Vermögen eine Almosengabe (sadaqa), um sie damit rein zu machen und zu läutern (tutahhiruhum wa-tuzakkiehim bihaa), und sprich den Segen über sie (salli `alaihim)! Dein Segen (salaat) ist eine Beruhigung für sie. Allah hört und weiß (alles). -" (Paret)
Pflicht:
Wie wir sehen, dient die Sadaqa der Läuterung, d.h. die Spende ist mit der Reinigung gleichzusetzen. Dies wird in den folgenden Versen verdeutlicht:
2:43 "Und verrichtet das Gebet (salaat), gebt die Almosensteuer (zakaat) und nehmt (beim Gottesdienst) an der Verneigung teil!"
4:162 "Aber denen von ihnen, die ein gründliches Wissen haben, und den Gläubigen, die an das glauben, was (als Offenbarung) zu dir, und was (zu den Gottesmännern) vor dir herabgesandt worden ist, und denjenigen, die das Gebet (salaat) verrichten und die Almosensteuer (zakaat) geben und an Allah und den jüngsten Tag glauben, denen (allen) werden wir (im Jenseits) gewaltigen Lohn geben. "
5:55 " Allah (allein) ist euer Beschützer, und sein Gesandter, und (mit ihnen alle) die, die glauben, - die das Gebet (salaat) verrichten, die Almosensteuer (zakaat) geben und sich (wenn sie beten) verneigen."
21:73 "Und wir machten sie zu Vorbildern (a'imma), die (ihre Gefolgschaft) nach unserem Befehl leiteten. Und wir gaben ihnen (die Weisung) ein, gute Werke zu tun (fi`la l-khairaati), das Gebet (salaat) zu verrichten und die Almosensteuer (zakaat) zu geben. Und uns dienten sie (ihr Leben lang)." (Paret)
Anhand dieser Verse wird auch die immense Bedeutung der Zakat deutlich, da sie stets im Zusammenhang mit dem Gebet genannt wird. Es ist allerdings zu erwähnen, dass nur der Zakat geben kann, der auch etwas besitzt, wie in Sure 9 Vers 103 angeführt:

Und wenn Allah nicht die einen Menschen durch die anderen zurückgehalten hätte, so wären gewiß Klausen, Kirchen, Synagogen und Moscheen, in denen der Name Allahs oft genannt wird, niedergerissen worden. Und Allah wird sicher dem beistehen, der Ihm beisteht. Allah ist wahrlich Allmächtig, Erhaben.
