    Menembus awan amanah yang berat,
    Namun hilang ke tempat yang tersirat.

    Hilang dari radar;

    Zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte Ägyptens sind 529 Putschgegner von einem Gericht in der Provinz Menja südlich von Kairo nach nur einem Prozesstag in 10 Minuten zum Tode verurteilt worden. Nur 16 Angeklagte wurden freigesprochen.




    Es war der größte Prozess gegen die Putschgegner in Ägypten. Das Urteil kam völlig überraschend und schnell. Aktivisten bezeichnen das Verfahren als Farce.
    Der Massenprozess mit 1200 Angeklagten hatte erst am Samstag begonnen und war da nach wenigen Minuten wieder vertagt worden. Die Angeklagten sollen sich für den Angriff auf Polizeistationen, Mord an Offizieren, öffentlichen Ausschreitungen und Waffenbesitz verantworten.
    Das Verfahren sei unrechtmäßig und zynisch gewesen, so Verteidiger Khaled al Kumi. "Nur ein Bruchteil der Angeklagten war beim Verfahren anwesend, die meisten wurden weiter im Gefängnis festgehalten. Für ein rechtmäßiges Todesurteil müssen alle Angeklagten im Gerichtssaal sein. Außerdem hatte die Verteidigung keine Möglichkeit, sich gegen die Anklage zu stellen. Das Urteil ist eine Farce."
    Beobachter sprechen von einem Schnellverfahren, in dem es beispielsweise keine Verteidigungsrede der Angeklagten gegeben haben soll.
