    ‫حضرت خواجہ کی سیر و سیاحت اور ہندوستان کی بشارت
    حضرت خواجہ غریب نواز رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کو پیر ومرشد نے اپنی خلافت و اجازت سے نواز کر رخصت کیا۔ آپ نے مرشدِ کامل سے فیض حاصل کر کے اللہ جل شانہ کی کائنات کا مشاہدہ اور اہل اللہ کی زیارت اور ملاقات کی غرض سے سیر وسیاحت کا آغاز کیا۔ سفر کے دوران آپ نے اپنے پیرومرشد کی ہدایت پر مکمل طور پر عمل کیا۔ چوں کہ حضرت خواجہ نے اپنی یہ سیاحت علومِ باطنی وظاہری کی مزید تحصیل کی غرض سے اختیار کی اس لیے وہ وہیں جاتے جہاں علما و صلحا اور صوفیہ و مشائخ رہتے۔ سنجان میں آپ نے حضرت شیخ نجم الدین کبرا رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور جیلان میں بڑے پیرحضرت سیدنا عبدالقادر جیلانی بغدادی رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور بغداد میں حضرت شیخ ضیاء الدین کی زیارت کی اور ان سے معرفت و ولایت کے علوم و فنون حاصل کیے۔
    بغداد کے بعد حضرت خواجہ اصفہان پہنچے تو یہاں حضرت شیخ محمود اصفہانی سے ملاقات فرمائی حضرت خواجہ قطب الدین بختیار کاکی ان دنوں اصفہان میں موجود تھے۔ جب آپ نے حضرت خواجہ کے چہرۂ زیبا کی زیارت کی تو بہت متاثر ہوئے دل کی دنیا بدل گئی اور آپ پر نثار ہوکر مریدوں میں شامل ہوگئے اور حضرت خواجہ کی اتنی خدمت کی کہ بعد میں وہی آپ کے جانشین ہوئے۔ اصفہان سے حضرت خواجہ ۵۸۳ھ / ۱۱۸۷ء میں مکۂ مکرمہ پہنچے اور زیارت و طوافِ خانۂ کعبہ سے سرفراز ہوئے۔ ایک روز حرم شریف کے اندر ذکرِ الٰہی میں مصروف تھے کہ غیب سے آپ نے ایک آواز سنی کہ:
    '' اے معین الدین ! ہم تجھ سے خوش ہیں تجھے بخش دیا جو کچھ چاہے مانگ ، تاکہ عطا کروں۔ ' حضرت خواجہ صاحب نے جب یہ ندا سنی تو بے حد خوش ہوئے اور بارگاہِ الٰہی میں سجدۂ شکر بجالایااور عاجزی سے عرض کیا کہ ، خداوندا! معین الدین کے مریدوں کو بخش دے۔ آواز آئی کہ اے معین الدین تو ہماری مِلک ہے جو تیرے مرید اور تیرے سلسلہ میں مرید ہوں گے انھیں بخش دوں گا۔ ''
    حضرت خواجہ معین الدین چشتی رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے مزید کچھ دن مکہ میں قیام کیا اور حج کے بعد مدینۂ منورہ کے لیے روانہ ہوئے۔ مدینۂ منورہ میں حضرت خواجہ ، حضور اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مزارِ پاک کی زیارت سے مشرف ہوئے۔ یہاں آپ اپنے روز و شب عبادت و ریاضت ، ذکرِ الٰہی اور درود وسلام میں بسر کرتے ، ایک دن بارگاہِ رسالت مآب صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے آپ کو ہندوستان کی ولایت و قطبیت کی بشارت اس طرح حاصل ہوئی کہ :
    '' اے معین الدین تو میرے دین کا معین ہے میں نے تجھے ہندوستان کی ولایت عطا کی وہاں کفر کی ظلمت پھیلی ہوئی ہے تو اجمیر جا تیرے وجود سے کفر کا اندھیرا دور ہوگا اور اسلام کا نور ہر سو پھیلے گا۔ '' ( سیر الاقطاب ص ۱۲۴)
    جب حضرت خواجہ نے یہ ایمان افروز بشارت سنی تو آپ پر وجد و سرور طاری ہوگیا۔ آپ کی خوشی و مسرت کی کوئی انتہا نہ رہی۔ حضور رحمتِ عالم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے آپ نے جب مقبولیت اور ہندوستان کی خوش خبری حاصل کرلی تو تھوڑا حیرا ن ہوئے کہ اجمیر کہاں ہے؟ یہی سوچتے ہوئے آپ کو نیند آگئی ، خواب میں کیا دیکھتے ہیں کہ سرکارِ مدینہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تشریف لائے ہوئے ہیں۔ پیارے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آپ کو خواب کی حالت میں ایک ہی نظر میں مشرق سے مغرب تک سارے عالم کو دکھا دیا، دنیا کے تمام شہر اور قصبے آپ کی نظروں میں تھے یہاں تک کہ آپ نے اجمیر ، اجمیر کا قلعہ اور پہاڑیاں بھی دیکھ لیں۔ حضور انور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حضرت خواجہ کو ایک انار عطا کرکے ارشاد فرمایا کہ ہم تجھ کو خدا کے سپرد کرتے ہیں۔ ( مونس الارواح ص ۳۰)
    نیند سے بیدار ہونے کے بعد آپ نے چالیس اولیا کے ہمراہ ہندوستان (اجمیر ) کا قصد کیا۔‬
