    KNOWLEDGE & MANNERS

    Islam does not have a shortage of people of 'ilm (knowledge), rather Islam has a shortage of people of adhab (noble character/etiquette). People of knowledge too often do not transcend more than someone's mind, whereas people of manners touch people's hearts... And that's what we are missing!

    Here are 3 Ahadeeth indicating the high value and regard for good character/manners ...

    1. Abu Darda RadhiAllahu Anhu narrated that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

    "Nothing will be heavier on the scales (on the day of judgement) than ones good character and manners." [Hadith is in Al-Bukhari, Abu Dawood]

    &

    2. Tirmidhi reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A father has never given to a son a gift better than good manners."

    3. Ibn Majah reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Be gracious with your children and teach them good manners."

    May Allah guide us all & give us strength.. Ameen
