    [18:7] Wahrlich, Wir machten alles, was auf der Erde ist, zu einem Schmuck für sie, auf daß Wir sie prüften, wer unter ihnen der Beste im Wirken sei.

    وَإِنَّا لَجَاعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيداً جُرُزاً

    about 80 thousand residents of Jerusalem have been without water for three days, as their water supply has been cut off by the occupation authorities since last Tuesday.

    Haaretz newspaper reported that the residents are from the Shoafat refugee camp and the neighborhoods of Ras Hamis, Ras Shehada and Hashalom – all within the Jerusalem municipality, but the separation wall separates them from the city.

    It added that "the vast majority of the buildings in the area were built without permits and the residents are not registered as customers of Hagihon."

    "Hagihon work crews, like other occupation authorities, do not often venture to the other side of the separation fence, due to security and coordination issues. And so, every year, particularly in summer, the residents have to endure repeated disruptions of the water supply", the paper said.
