Der israelische Ministerpräsident Netanjahu hat einen Militäreinsatz im Westjordanland gerechtfertigt, bei dem gestern drei Palästinenser getötet wurden.
Einer der drei Toten habe als Mitglied der militanten Hamas Angriffe auf Israelis organisiert, sagte Netanjahu. Es sei Politik der Regierung, gegen alle vorzugehen, die Israel schaden wollten. Aus den Reihen der Palästinenser wurden Rufe nach einem Abbruch der Friedensgespräche lauter. Ein Sprecher von Palästinenserpräsident Abbas forderte die USA zum Eingreifen auf.

Bei Kämpfen zwischen Anhängern und Gegnern des syrischen Präsidenten Assad ist im Nachbarland Libanon ein Mensch getötet worden.
Nach Angaben aus Sicherheitskreisen wurden zehn weitere verletzt. Die Kämpfe brachen demnach heute früh im Süden der Hauptstadt Beirut aus. Das Militär entsandte Soldaten in das Gebiet. Vergangene Woche waren bei ähnlichen Zusammenstößen in der nordlibanesischen Stadt Tripoli 27 Menschen getötet worden. - Die libanesische Hisbollah-Miliz unterstützt Assad, die Sunniten in dem Land lehnen seine Herrschaft dagegen ab.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Inna allatheena kafaroo sawaon AAalayhim aanthartahum am lam tunthirhum la yuminoona
Gleich ist es in Bezug auf diejenigen, die ungläubig sind, ob du sie warnst oder nicht warnst; sie glauben nicht.
