    In light of #InternationalWomensDay, many Muslimahs have taken to social media to describe their pride at being &quot;Islamic feminists&quot;. They use this day to mark their progress against the oppression many Muslim women face all over the globe and to voice their concerns over their abhorrent treatment.

    But to me, the term &quot;Muslim feminist&quot; almost seems oxymoronic. Regardless of the varying types, in general feminism aims to achieve &quot;equality&quot; for men and women within a secular liberal system. It focuses on women achieving the same standard as men in all respects, regardless of the adverse consequences and the obvious differences between the two sexes.

    In contrast, Islam has provided women with rights and responsibilities suited to their individual needs and capabilities, not as a subordinate of men, but as their companion, equal in the eyes of Allah, the highest authority for the Muslim. In light of this, why is that some Muslims feel the need to fight for their rights through feminism? Allah (swt) has provided sufficiently for us and he has called this way of life Islam. We do not need to use the term feminism to indicate that we stand for women&#039;s rights because Islam encompasses that already. Would we call ourselves &quot;Islamic anti-racists&quot; or &quot;anti-poverty Muslims&quot;? No, because Islam dealt with these issues 1400 years ago. This is nothing new.

    The Muslim countries we see today in the Middle East and the Asian subcontinent cannot be categorised as Islamic nations. Whilst aspects of the sharia pertaining to women are implemented to an extent, it fails to work without the comprehensive system of Islam in place. Much oppression that does take place towards women in the Muslim world is as a result of this misapplication or other cultures and traditions. So whilst Muslim women may wish to fight for the rights they deserve, it is important to know that we deserve these rights not because of &quot;equality&quot; or &quot;freedom&quot;, but rather because Allah (swt) has awarded them to us. If this is understood, the only way for a Muslim woman to call for true liberation and justice, is through calling for the correct implementation of Islam. Feminism is unnecessary an incompatible.

    DAWOOD

    Dawood aus Großbritannien wurde während einer Schlacht gegen die kroatischen Streitkräfte in Bosnien im Jahr 1993 getötet, im Alter von 29 Jahren.
    Geboren und aufgewachsen als Christ in Großbritannien, begann er seinen Job in einer Computerfirma. An einem Morgen kam er zu seiner Arbeit mit seiner islamischen Kleidung. Auf die Frage, warum er nun diese &quot;Tracht&quot; tragen würde, informierte er seine Arbeitskollegen, dass er zum Islam konvertiert war. Eine Woche später wurde er von seinem Job gekündigt und ging nach Bosnien mit zwei anderen Brüdern. Vier Monate später kehrten seine Brüder nach Großbritanien zurück, für ein paar Monate und baten ihn mitzukommen. Er weigerte sich und sagte: &quot;Was habe ich in einem Land der kuffar zu tun?&quot; Er war ein sehr ruhiger Bruder und sehr lustig zugleich. Er liebte die Bewachung seiner Brüder auf dem Berg im Schnee bei kaltem Wetter. Ein sehr schneller Lerner des Islam und der arabischen Sprache. Er liebte es sich an die Sunnah des Gesandten Allahs (SAW) zu halten.
    Er schlief auf seiner rechten Seite angelehnt, in der Hocke (nicht flach liegend), benutzte die meiste Zeit der Nacht zum beten und fastete an allen, den ihm erlaubten Tagen.
    Kommandant Abul- Harith (RA) sagte über ihn: &quot;Jeder von uns wusste, dass Dawood der nächste Shahid unter uns sein würde, da sein Iman und seine Taqwa immer mehr und mehr und mehr wurden.&quot;
    Die Nacht vor der Operation hatte Dawood ein Traum, in dem er sich selbst spazieren sah, an einem Ort mit großen Paläste auf beiden Seiten. Er fragte: &quot;Wem gehören diese Paläste?&quot; Und ihm wurde gesagt: &quot;Dies sind die Häuser der Shuhadaa.&quot; Er fragte: &quot; Wo ist das Haus von Abu Ibrahim?&quot; (der türkische Bruder aus England, der erschossen wurde von den Französisch Vereinten Nationen in der Nähe vom Flughafen Sarajevo). Die Stimme sagte zu ihm: &quot;Das Haus von Abu Ibrahim ist da drüben.&quot; Und in seinem Traum begann Dawood auf das Haus seines Freundes, Abu Ibrahim, zu zulaufen - als er plötzlich fiel er und aus seinem Schlaf erwachte.
    Am folgenen Morgen gab es eine große Operation gegen die Kroaten. Während der Schlacht lief er eine Weile und wurde von einem einzigen Schuss ins Herz getötet. Er fiel und sein Körper rollte zu dem kroatische Bunker unten. Nach drei Monaten wurde sein Körper an die Mujahideen zurückgegeben. Er war wie neu, es wurden Blutungen gesehen und man konnte den Moschus-Geruch sehr genau wahrnehmen. Seine Leiche wurde gefunden, auf der rechten Seite, in einer Art Hocke. Genau wie man ihn sah als er schlief.

    ‫ثورة الشام، ثورة لا كالثورات

    عندما يُهنّأ والد الشهيد وأهله على أرض الشام بدل أن يُعزّوا، فاعلم أنها ثورة لا كالثورات، وعندما يستشهد الشهيد دفاعاً عن الأرض والعرض والحرمات ورفعاً لراية الحبيب المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم ويرفعها الأهل من بعده كي لا تنكّس، فاعلم أنك بأرض باركها الله، وعندما تتآمر أمم الأرض على ثورة لم تتخذ إلا الله رباً والإسلام ديناً ومحمداً صلى الله عليه وسلم نبياً ورسولاً دون أن يفتر لأهلها عزم أو تلين لهم قناة، فاعلم أنها ثورة لن تقهر ولن تذل بإذن الله، منصورة رغم الصعاب وفقد أحباب أغلى من شغاف القلوب، رحلوا إلى بارئهم، وسلمونا الأمانة من بعدهم. ألا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون.
    وأهل الشام لها بإذن الله رغم كيد الذئاب ونبح الكلاب، يأبون إلا أن تكون الشام عقر الدار رغم أنف الحاقدين. وفي النهاية لن يصح إلا الصحيح، وإن غداً لناظره قريب.
    قال تعالى:
    {حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتَيْأَسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّواْ أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كُذِبُواْ جَاءهُمْ نَصْرُنَا فَنُجِّيَ مَن نَّشَاء وَلاَ يُرَدُّ بَأْسُنَا عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ}.

    عقدنا العزم أن نبقى جنوداً ليوثاً ننصرُ الحقَّ المبينا
    ولو ولت جموعُ الناس عنا فإنا بالهدى مستمسكونا
    ولا والله لن نبقى حيارى فنغرق في بحار التائهينا
    فنصرُ الله لا يأتي لقومٍ إذا لاقوا تولّوا مدبرينا
    ملاءنا قلبنا وغراً وغيظاً على أعداء رب العالمينا
    نذودُ عن الشريعة كل باغٍ فيرجعُ خائباً في الأخسرينا
    ونضربُ بالسيوف رقاب قومٍ تصيّرهم حصيداً خامدينا
    تدكدكهم جيوش الحق دكا ولو شادوا لهم حصناً حصينا
    ونُحيي سنة الصديق فيهم فنسقيهم بها كأساً مهينا
    فلا التهديد يثنينا فلسنا نبالي بالطغاة المارقينا
    ألفنا كل داهيةٍ فعدنا نلاقي خطبها مستبشرينا
    ولا الإغراء يغرينا فإنا أبَيْنَا أن نذل وأن نلينا
    ركلنا زهرة الدنيا وقمنا إلى جنات عدن قاصدينا
    فمهما يمكر الطغيان مكراً فإن الله خيرُ الماكرينا
    ولا نعطي الدنية لا ولكن بحد السيف نُردي من لقينا
    فإن كان التطرف قتلَ طاغٍ فإنا أولُ المتطرفينا
    وإن كان التهور نصرَ حقٍ فعدُّونا إذا متهوِّرينا
    فقد طال الظلام ظلام كفرٍ وصار سواده في الناس دينا
    ومن يرضَ الهوان يعش ذليلاً ويوم غدٍ يُرى في النادمينا
    فيا من قد غدوا للكفر حرباً بوعد الله كونوا واثقينا
    وصبراً في مجال الموت صبراً فإن النصر آتينا يقينا
    فيا من يبتغي جنات عدنٍ تقدم لا تكن في القاعدينا
    وخض غمرات حرب في ثباتٍ فعقبى خوضها للمتقينا
    وجد بالنفس إن القتل فخرٌ إذا ما حزته في السابقينا
    فغاية أمرنا موتٌ وقبر ولو عشنا لآلاف السنينا
    فلا الآجال تدنيها سيوفٌ ولا يُنجي فرارُ الهاربينا
    فقل للخائرين بكل صقعٍ ألا بعداً لقومٍ خائرينا
    ولا تجبن فإن الجبن عارٌ وإن الجبن دأب السافلينا
    وجدد نهج أبطالٍ تساموا وكانوا في الوغى مستبسلينا
    أننسى يوم خيبر يوم فتح فكلا ثم كلا ما نسينا
    أقومٌ يُذكر القعقاع فيهم تخوفهم جيوش الصاغرينا
    وقومٌ تذكر اليرموك فيهم أيرضون المذلة خانعينا
    ويوم القادسية يوم سعدٍ يُهيج فيهم الآمال حينا
    وتذكر بينهم حطين دوماً فهل ستراهمُ متثاقلينا
    لنا في ذكر ذا زادٌ إلى أن نجدد خالداً في الفاتحينا
    فإما أن نعيش بظل حكم به يعلو شعارُ المسلمينا
    وإما أن نُرى في يوم حربٍ بساحات الوغى متجندلينا
