1. Einleitung
Nach dem der Gesandte Allahs (sallalllahu alaihi wa sallam) seine Abschiedspilgerfahrt beendet hatte, verließ er Mekkah mit einer Zahl von Muslimen in Richtung Medinah und machte mit ihnen unterwegs an einem Ort namens Ghadir Khumm halt. Dort sprach er zu den Anwesenden:
"Wessen Mawla ich bin, dessen Mawla ist Ali."
(Auf die Bedeutung des Wortes "Mawla" werden wir noch zu sprechen kommen, nach den Schiiten soll es hier "Führer" bedeuten)
Berichtet wird diese Aussage in sunnitischen Quelle unter anderem von at-Tirmidhi und Ibn Maja und obgleich es Uneinigkeit bzgl. der Authenzität gibt, scheint die korrektere Ansicht zu sein, dass es authentisch (sahih) ist.
Die Schiiten behaupten nun, dieses Ereignis stelle die Ernennung Alis (radi Allahu anh) zum Nachfolger des Propheten (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) dar und sie fügen noch eine Reihe von Behauptungen und Annahmen bezüglich der genauen Umstände hinzu, um ihre Position zu untermauern. So sagen sie:
Nachdem der Prophet seine Abschiedspilgerfahrt vollendet hatte, verließ er Mekka in Richtung Medina, wo er und die ihm folgenden Menschenmassen einen Ort namens Ghadir Khumm (nahe dem heutigen Al-Juhfah) erreichten. Es war ein Ort, an welchem sich die Leute aus den verschiedenen Gebieten zu verabschieden pflegten, bevor sie unterschiedliche Wege in ihre jeweilige Heimat einschlugen.
An diesem Ort wurde der folgende Vers des Qurans offenbart:
"O du Gesandter! Verkünde, was zu dir von deinem Herrn herabgesandt wurde; und wenn du es nicht tust, so hast du Seine Botschaft nicht verkündigt. Und Allah wird dich vor den Menschen schützen. Wahrlich, Allah weist den ungläubigen Leuten nicht den Weg." [5:67]
Der letzte Satz dieses Verses zeigt, dass der Prophet sich sorgte, wie die Reaktion der Menschen sein würde wenn er ihnen die Nachricht verkündet, doch Allah lässt ihn wissen, dass er ihn vor den Menschen beschützen wird.
Sodann folgte der Schlüsselsatz, welcher die klare Bestimmung Alis zum Führer der muslimischen Gemeinschaft zeigte. Der Prophet hob die Hand Alis und sagte:
"Wessen Führer ich bin, dessen Führer ist Ali."
Unmittelbar nachdem der Prophet seine Rede beendet hatte, folgte die Offenbarung des folgenden Quranverses:
"Heute habe Ich euch eure Religion vervollkommnet und Meine Gnade an euch vollendet und euch den Islam zum Glauben erwählt." [5:3]
Dieser Vers zeigt ganz klar, dass der Islam ohne eine Klärung der Frage nach der Führerschaft nach dem Propheten noch nicht vollständig war und dass die Verkündung seines direkten Nachfolgers durch den Gesandten seine Vollendung war.
Das Ereignis von Ghadir Khum ist von überragender Wichtigkeit für die schiitische Religion, stellt es doch den defacto einzigen direkten Beweis für die angeblich gottbestimmte Rolle Alis (radi Allahu anh) als Nachfolgeder des Gesandten (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) dar. Entsprechend zahlreich sind die Mythen die sich darum ranken und entsprechend verbissen wird daran festgehalten. Die Schiiten weltweit feiern sogar ein Fest eigens wegen diesem Ereignis, welches sie Eid Ghadir nennen…
2. Warum es keinen Sinn ergibt
Die Schiiten behaupten der Gesandte Allahs (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) hätte seine letzte Pilgerfahrt vollendet, seine Abschiedspredigt auf dem Berg Arafat in Mekka gehalten und anschließend in Ghadir Khumm Ali (radi Allahu anh) zu seinem Nachfolger ernannt. Ghadir Khumm ist in der Nähe der heutigen Stadt Al-Juhfa gelegen. Es war eine Wasserstelle in mitten der Wüste, 170 km nördlich von Mekka. Allein schon diese große Entfertnung von Mekka lässt einen aufhorchen.
Wie wir alle wissen hielt der Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) seine Abschiedspredigt während seiner letzten Pilgerfahrt in Mekka vor einem Großteil der gesamten Ummah, welche aus den verschiedensten Städten angereist war um die Pilgerfahrt mit dem Gesandten durchzuführen. Wenn der Gesandte Allahs tatsächlich Ali zu seinem Nachfolger hätte erklären wollen, dann gäbe es absolut keinen nachvollziehbaren Grund dafür, warum er es nicht während seiner Abschiedspredigt in Mekka hätte tun sollen, sondern stattdessen während eines kurzen Halts an einer kleinen Raststelle mitten in der Wüste, vor nur einem Bruchteil der Muslime, welche in Mekka anwesend waren.
Denn nachdem die Pilgerfahrt beendet war, kehrten der Gesandte Allahs (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) und die Muslime in ihre jeweiligen Heimatstädte zurück. Die Leute aus Medina, Taif, Jemen, Kufa und Syrien kehrten in ihre jeweilige Heimat zurück und die Bewohner Mekkahs verblieben in Mekkah.
Lediglich jene Gruppe, welche in Städten im Norden der arabischen Halbinsel lebte, passierte Ghadir Khumm, also jene welche in Richtung Medina reisten, sowie ein Teil jener welche in Gebieten wie Syrien lebten. Aus diesem Grund war zu dem Zeitpunkt, als der Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in Ghadir Khumm haltmachte ein großer Teil der Muslime nicht mehr anwesend, da es für sie keinerlei Sinn gemacht hätte zunächst 170 km gen Norden zu ziehen nur um dann wieder in die entgegengesetzte Richtung umzukehren.
Entgegen schiitscher Behauptungen ernannte der Gesandte Allahs Ali also nicht in Anwesenheit beinahe aller Muslime zu seinem Nachfolger, sondern wenn, dann nur vor einer kleinen Minderheit. Aus diesem Grunde sind auch die Zahlen von 100,000 Menschen und mehr schlichtweg utopisch und frei aus der Luft gegriffen. Die Schiiten argumentieren mitunter damit, dass Ghadir Khumm ein Drehkreuz gewesen sei, an dem sich die Rückkehrer in die verschiedenen Gebiete auf ihre jeweiligen Wege begeben hätten. Ein Blick auf die Karte zeigt aber schnell wie unsinnig diese Behauptung ist:
Wäre Ghadir Khumm ein Vorort von Mekka, so könnte diese Behauptung Sinn machen, doch ein unbedeutendes Wüstennest war mit Sicherheit für niemanden Anlass einen Umweg von 350 km und mehr einzugehen.
3. Was wirklich geschah
Niemand leugnet das Ereignis von Ghadir Khumm, was wir allerdings verneinen ist die von den Schiiten betriebene Übertreibung bezüglich dessen was bei diesem Ereignis gesagt wurde. Es ist daher notwendig die Umstände der Aussage in Ghadir Khumm zu betrachten. Was in Ghadir Khumm tatsächlich geschah war, dass der Gesandte Allahs (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) auf einige Einzelpersonen reagierte, welche Ali ibn Abi Talib (radi Allahu anh) kritisierten. Die Vorgeschichte die zu dieser Kritik führte war, dass der Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) Ali (radi Allahu anh) zuvor zusammen mit 300 Mann gen Jemen zu einem Erkundungszug entsandte. Die von Ali (radi Allahu anh) geführte Armee war überaus erfolgreich und machte eine große Menge Kriegsbeute, doch über eben diese Beute kam es zum Konflikt zwischen Ali (radi Allahu anh) und seinen Soldaten.
Ibn Kathir berichtet hierüber in seinem Werk al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah:
Neben dem Fünftel der Beute, welches für den Staat bestimmt war, blieb genug Kleidung übrig um die gesamte Armee neu einzukleiden, doch Ali entschied, dass es dem Propheten unberührt übergeben werden müsse.
Nach dem Sieg übergab Ali das Kommando über die Truppen an seinen stellvertretenden Befehlshaber, während er selbst nach Mekka voreilte, um den Gesandten bei der Pilgerfahrt zu begleiten.
Ibn Kathir schreibt weiter:
Während seiner Abwesenheit jedoch lies sich der Mann, welchem er die Verantwortung übertragen hatte, überreden jedem Soldaten einen Satz neuer Kleidung zu leihen. Sie bedurften des Kleiderwechsels äußerst dringend, da sie bereit für beinahe drei Monate unterwegs waren.
Wenig später machten sich dann auch die in Jemen stationierten Truppen auf den Weg nach Mekka um die Pilgerfahrt zusammen mit dem Propheten zu begehen.
Als sie kurz davor waren Mekka zu betreten ritt Ali zu ihnen aus umd sie zu treffen. Als er sie sah, wunderte er sich ob ihres veränderten Äußeren. Der stellvertretende Kommandant sagte: "Ich habe ihnen die Kleider gegeben, damit ihr Aussehen schicklicher ist, wenn sie unter den Leuten sind." Die Männer wussten, dass jeder in Mekka aufgrund des feierlichen Anlasses seine besten Kleider tragen würde und sie waren daher bemüht bestmöglich auszusehen. Ali jedoch war der Ansicht, dass er es nicht dulden könne, dass sich derartige Freiheiten herausgenommen werden, weshalb er befahl, dass wieder die alten Kleider angelegt werden und dass die neuen zurück zu zur Beute zu geben sind. Diese Entscheidung rief in der gesamten Armee große Verärgerung hervor, und als der Prophet davon erfuhr sagte er: "Oh ihr Leute, tadelt Ali nicht, denn er ist zu gewissenhaft in der Sache Allahs als dass er zu tadeln wäre." Jedoch genügten diese Worte nicht, oder vielleicht wurden sie nur von einigen wenigen gehört, weswegen der vorherrschende Unmut anhielt.
Auf dem Weg zurück nach Medina beschwerte sich ein Mann aus den Truppen beim Gesandten Allahs über Ali, woraufhin sich sein Gesicht verfinsterte. Er sagte: "Bin ich den Gläubigen nicht näher als sie sich selbst?" Und als der Mann dies bejahte fügte er hinzu: "Wessen Mawla ich bin, dessen Mawla ist Ali." Später auf der Reise, als sie bei Ghadir Khumm Halt machten versammelte er die Leute, nahm die Hand Alis und wiederholte diese Worte. Er fügte zudem noch folgendes Bittgebet hinzu: "Oh Allah, sei der Freund dessen, welcher sein Freund ist und sei ein Feind dessen, welcher sein Feind ist." Hernach war dem Gerede gegen Ali ein Ende gesetzt.
Die Soldaten unter dem Kommando Alis (radi Allahu anh) waren nicht nur über die Rückgabe der Kleidung verärgert, sondern über die Verteilung der Beute im Allgemeinen. Die Muslime hatten dank der hervorrangenden Führung Alis (radi Allahu anh) eine große Menge an Kamelen erbeutet, doch Ali (radi Allahu anh) verbot ihnen sie an sich zu nehmen. Al-Bayhaqi berichtet von Abu Said, dass Ali (radi Allahu anh) sie daran hinderte, die Kamel der Kriegsbeute die sie gemacht hatten zu reiten. Leader of the international terrorist group al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri called for unity widening divisions with a rival extremists fighting in Syria.
In a new interview, which the SITE monitoring service dated to between February and April, Zawahiri suggested that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government may have 'penetrated' extremists groups in order to 'sow sedition'.Zawahiri
The interview was released after the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) accused Al-Qaeda of having "deviated from the correct path."
"They have divided the ranks of the mujahideen (holy warriors) in every place," ISIL spokesman Abu Mohammed al-Adnani said in a statement posted on extremist forums.
Zawahiri rejected al-Adnani's allegations as he said: "If I command you to fight your mujahideen brothers, do not obey me. If I command you to blow yourself up among your mujahideen brothers, do not obey me."
"Our method is to focus on the Hubal (pre-Islamic pagan god) of the era, America, and its Crusader allies and the Zionists and their traitor agents, and to incite the Ummah (Muslim community) and rally it for jihad against them and leaving the side skirmishes," Zawahiri said in the interview.
"Our method is to preserve blood and avoid operations that could potentially shed the blood of others unjustly in marketplaces, residential areas, and even among the jihadi groups."
The infighting dates back to last year, when Zawahiri ordered ISIL to confine its activities to Iraq after it was accused of widespread abuses against Syrian civilians and rival rebels.
Zawahiri, who succeeded the late Osama bin Laden as leader of the global terror network in 2011, declared Al-Nusra Front to be the official Al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria.
Following that, fierce clashes took place between the ISIL from one side and the Nusra front and the other extremists groups from another side.
