Imām Ibn Jarīr At-Tabarī (rahimahullāh) überliefert:
إن هذا أخي ووصيي وخليفتي من بعدي فاسمعوا له وأطيعوا
"Der Prophet (sallahu aleyhi wa sallam) sagte: "Das ist mein Bruder, mein Wasī und mein Nachfolger (dh. Alī) unter euch. Hört auf ihn und gehorcht ihm!"
[Tarīkh at-Tabarī (Arabisch), 1/542-543]
Einstufung:
Imām Ibn Jawzī (rahimahullāh) sagte:
«هذا حديث موضوع»
"Das ist ein erlogener Hādith"
[Al-Mawdū'at 1/259]
Shāykhul'Islām Ibn Taymīyah (rahimahullāh) sagte:
«إن هذا الحديث كذب موضوع باتفاق أهل العلم بالحديث، وقد تقدم كلام ابن حزم أن سائر هذه الأحاديث موضوعة، يعلم ذلك من له أدنى علم بالأخبار ونقلتها وقد صدق في ذلك، فإن من له أدنى معرفة بصحيح الحديث وضعيفه ليعلم أن هذا الحديث ومثله ضعيف، بل كذب موضوع، ولهذا لم يخرجه أحد من أهل الحديث في الكتب التي يحتج بما فيها، وإنما يرويه من يرويه في الكتب التي يجمع فيها بين الغث والسمين … »
"Dieser Hādith ist eine erfundene Lüge und darüber haben sich alle Hādithgelehrte geeinigt [...] Dieser Hādith ist erlogen, deshalb hat ihn auch keiner der anerkannten Autoren in seinem Buch erwähnt. Es wird nur in den Büchern überliefert, wo man Authentisches und Unauthentisches zusammengetan hat."
[Minhāj as-Sunnāh 7/354]
Al-Hāfith Adh-Dhāhabī (rahimahullāh) sagte:
«والمتهم بهذا وما قبله مطر»
"Diese Überlieferung ist erlogen und der Grund dessen (für die) Unauthentität ist Mattār – einer der Überlieferer."

Imām As-Suyūtī (rahimahullāh) sagte:

Ubada ibn al-Samit berichtet:
„Wir leisteten dem Gesandten Allahs (s.) die Bai'a, auf dass wir hören und gehorchen, in allem was uns lieb und unlieb ist, dass wir die Befehlsgewalt denjenigen, die sie innehaben, nicht streitig machen und dass wir die Wahrheit aufrecht halten bzw. sie aussprechen, wo immer wir auch sind, und in Allah nicht den Tadel eines Tadelnden fürchten."
Das arabische Wort für Politik heißt Siyasah und meint linguistisch „das Betreuen der Angelegenheiten von Menschen bzw. sich um die Angelegenheiten der Menschen zu kümmern. (arab.: sasa, yasusu, siyasatan). Der Autor des arabischen Wörterbuches Al-Qamus Al-Muhit sagt: „sustu ar-ra'iyyata siyasatan bedeutet über jemanden zu herrschen und etwas zu verbieten".
Politik oder Siyasa bedeutet also islamrechtlich, sich um die Angelegenheiten der Umma im Inneren wie im Äußeren zu kümmern. Politik wird sowohl vom Staat wie auch durch die Umma betrieben. Der Staat ist dabei jene Einheit, die die praktische Politik betreibt, während die Umma die politische Verantwortung hat, den Staat bei der Ausübung seiner Aufgaben zu kontrollieren.
