Für den gewöhnlichen Menschen bedeutet es bestenfalls, dass er sonntags eine Stunde oder so mit Handlungen verbringt, die ihm etwas Unterstützung und Stärke im Umgang mit den Problemen im täglichen Leben geben und ihn dazu anregen, freundlich zu anderen Menschen zu sein und ihm hilft, die Standards des sexuellen Anstands beizubehalten. Religion hat wenig oder gar nichts mit Handel, Wirtschaft, Politik oder industriellen Verhältnissen zu tun. Schlimmstenfalls fördert sie das Verhalten der Selbstzufriedenheit bei erfolgreichen Personen und vermehrt deren Hochmut. Europäer betrachten die Religion als ein Beruhigungsmittel, das von Ausbeutern der Bürgerschichten entwickelt wurde, um sie im Zustand der Unterwürfigkeit zu halten. Wie sehr unterscheidet sich das vom Religionsbegriff der Muslime in der #Koran_Übersetzung (3:19): Gewiss, die Religion ist bei Allah der Islam. Das als Religion übersetzte Wort lautet im Arabischen „Diin". Es bezieht sich im Allgemeinen auf eine allumfassende Lebensform. Es ist keine private Angelegenheit der einzelnen Personen, welche nur die Peripherie ihres Lebens betrifft, sondern etwas, das beides betrifft: Privates und öffentliches. Es ist etwas, das die gesamte Gesellschaftsstruktur auf eine derartige Weise durchdringt, dass sich die Menschen darüber bewusst sind. Es ist alles in einem: theologischer Glaubenslehrsatz, Gottesdienstformen, politische Theorien und ein ausführliches Gesetzbuch des Verhaltens, welches sogar Angelegenheiten beinhaltet, die Europäer in den Bereich der Hygiene oder Etikette einstufen würden."
