Hierauf iss von allen Früchten, ziehe auf den Wegen deines Herrn dahin, die (dir) geebnet sind.' Aus ihren Leibern kommt ein Getränk von unterschiedlichen Farben, in dem Heilung für die Menschen ist. Darin ist wahrlich ein Zeichen für Leute, die nachdenken." (Surah An-Nahl 16:68-69) Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (radiAllahu anhu) berichtet: "Einmal kam ein Mann zum Propheten (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) und sagte: 'Mein Bruder beschwert sich über Bauchschmerzen.' Der Prophet, sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam, antwortete: 'Gib ihm Honig zu trinken.' Der Mann kam zurück zum Propheten (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) und sagte: 'Er hat noch mehr Schmerzen.' Der Gesandte Allahs (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) sagte: 'Gib ihm Honig zu trinken.' Der Mann kam zurück zum Propheten (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) und sagte: "Er hat noch mehr Schmerzen." Der Gesandte Allahs (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) sagte: 'Allah hat die Wahrheit gesprochen, während deines Bruders Magen gelogen hat.' Er (der Mann) ging und gab ihm (seinem Bruder erneut) Honig und dieser erholte sich." (Sahih al-Bukhary - Buch der Medizin (5684), Sahih Muslim (2217)) Imam Ibn Qayyim (rahimahullah) sagte: Der Grund, warum der Mann nicht sofort vom Honig geheilt wurde, war, weil er zu große Mengen an Schädlichem in seinem Magen hatte, sodass mehr Honig benötigt wurde, um die Krankheit zu beseitigen. (Zad al-Ma'ad - 4/35) Der Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) pflegte Honig mit kaltem Wasser zu trinken, und dies ist eine besonders effektvolle Methode, um die Gesundheit zu erhalten, von der nur die besten Ärzte Wissen haben konnten.Das Trinken von Honig auf nüchternen Magen löst Schleim, reinigt die schützenden Schichten des Magens und löst ihre Klebrigkeit und Ausscheidungen durch milde Erhitzung. Honig hilft außerdem gegen Verstopfungen in Magen, Nieren, Leber und Prostata. Honig ist viel vorteilhafter für den Magen, als alle anderen Süßigkeiten.
