The house need more work so that the family finally could move there and leave the school where they have been staying for 6 months.The house is not yet inhabitable. Work needs to be done on the floor (now its just sand), and other tin needs to be put on the roof to prevent water infiltration, as well as to buy basic furniture for cooking and sleeping. They just moved in 6 months ago after having lived in tents for three years following attacks on the home they used to live on the same field but closer to the border. One of the attacks, in 2010 killed Ni'meh, Nasser's wife and mother of 5. Nasser wants to rebuild on his land. They currently stay in a UN school in terrible conditions.Full story:Juhor ad-Dik is an agricultural village close to border East of Gaza in middle area.Nasser used to live in the house of his father, around 400 meters from the border. The area became more dangerous after Israel enforced a no-go zone policy around the border. In July 2010, Nasser lost his wife,Ni'meh, who was killed by a artillery shell. He was devastated as well as their 5 children. After other shellings, he decided to move further up in their family field and they had lived for 3 years in tents trying to gather enough money to built a new safer home. Nasser remarried and had a new child who he called Ni'meh.Finally they moved to their new home 6 months ago, hoping to open a new and happier chapter of their lives. Until their dream was once again brutally shattered by a call by the Israeli military to evacuate immediately. Nasser had just the time to gather his children, and wife and ran. Almost immediately the new home was bombed and destroyed. The family once again traumatized now lives in a UN school in Bureij. 80 persons stay in the room where they are supposed to sleep. Why is it that the world has an expectation from India, to obey by the norms of the Western world? Just by calling it the world's largest democracy it doesn't actually mean that the people of India live by the values the West promotes. Yes, in most things the government pushes secular views but even the government knows what it's people want. India is in a muddle, between secularism and pagan ideas. A country that is still known for killing/aborting female infants - can't over night change it's viewpoints towards women. So instead of being delusional, maybe those who are getting angry over India's decision, should stop selling India as a model for other countries to follow. Countries like Bangladesh and Pakistan are always told to look to India and follow in it's footsteps, but why should they? They will only become more miserable by following India and it's ways. I said, "Is that because you have a double reward?'' He replied that that was so and then said, "No Muslim is afflicted by a harm, be it the pricking of a thorn or something more (painful than that), but Allah thereby causes his sins to fall away just as a tree sheds its leaves".
