Die erforderlichen Sicherheitsgarantien hatte ich in monatelangen Skype-Gesprächen mit der Führung des 'Kalifats' ausgehandelt. Angeblich war ich der erste westliche Publizist der Welt, der den "Islamischen Staat" besuchen konnte. Dem IS war bekannt, dass ich mich mehrfach sehr kritisch zum "Islamischen Staat" geäußert hatte. Hier auf Facebook und in der deutschen Presse. Ich habe die Gefahren dieser Reise daher nie unterschätzt. Die Gespräche und Erlebnisse im irakischen und syrischen Teil des "Islamischen States" waren dramatisch. Die Sicherheitslage auch. Darüber mehr in den nächsten Tagen. Als ich gestern Abend mit meinem Gepäck in der Nähe eines türkischen Schießturms zu Fuß über einen Schmugglerpfad in die Türkei rannte, fiel eine gefühlte Last von 1000 Tonnen von meinen Schultern. Ich bin sehr glücklich, dass ich wieder heil in Deutschland bin. Meine Familie auch. Es hat viele Tränen gegeben. Ich habe diese schwierige Reise nicht unternommen, weil Papst Franziskus kürzlich gefordert hatte, man müsse auch mit dem IS sprechen. Sondern weil ich seit über 50 Jahren immer mit allen Seiten spreche. In Syrien sprach ich - von einigen Schreibtischstrategen heftig kritisiert - mit Präsident Assad, aber auch mit Al Qaida und der FSA. In Afghanistan mehrfach mit Präsident Karsai und mit Führern der Taliban. Und während des Irakkrieges mit der schiitischen Regierung des Irak und mit dem sunnitischen Widerstand. Die Katastrophen, in die die USA in Afghanistan, im Irak, in Libyen und in anderen Ländern hineingeraten sind, sind auch deshalb entstanden, weil die USA nicht mit ihren Gegnern sprechen wollten und sie oft überhaupt nicht kannten. Unwissenheit darf jedoch nicht das traurige Markenzeichen der westlichen Mittel-Ost-Politik bleiben. Wer seine Feinde besiegen will, sollte sie kennen. Der IS ist mächtiger und gefährlicher als viele westliche Politiker ahnen. In den nächsten Tagen werde ich Euch nähere Einzelheiten meiner zehntägigen Recherchen im "Islamischen Staat" mitteilen. Jetzt aber bin ich erst einmal hundemüde. They fall into #depression, feel sad about their situation and feel powerless. They don't understand "why this is happening to them" or "what they did to deserve this". But for a ProductiveMuslim, his/her way of thinking is completely different. Whenever a ProductiveMuslim faces hardship, he/she takes a step back from their difficult situation and thinks about it from a higher level. They step back from their life with all its worries, anxieties, problems, and thinks about it from an Akhirah perspective, then they ask themselves the question: what does this ALL mean when compared to the Hereafter? What does this ALL mean when compared to eternity in Jannah? Here are 7 practical steps to help you face any difficult situation: 1. Salah. Make sure you stick to praying on time – 5 times a day. Never miss a salah and do your best to pray each Salah with sincerity as if it's your last salah in this world. 2. Read Quran. The Quran is so beautiful that no matter what difficulties you face you'll find solace in it. 3. Make Dua. Especially the dua for removing anxiety [see Fortress of the Muslim, chapter 34]. 4. Give Sadaqah. Give lots of charity, as much as you can, because it helps push away hardship. And if you can't give money, even kind words or physical sadaqah can do (i.e. helping people physically or emotionally). 5. Set Goals and Have Vision. Don't let shaytaan play with you and keep replaying |
