She wasn't happy about mosques being built and the increase of Islam coming to britain and the call to prayer from speakers etc she was almost going red! I asked to interject her emotional rant and told her I am a muslim and i am british and what was her question. And she still held to the opinion on beheading and asked why do you do that. I asked her if I had beheaded anyone.. She said no. So I said so what does this have to do with islam and what I am here to convey? She said its all over the media. I made her feel at ease by first listening and addressing her points. I said if she had a car and she wanted it fixed she would take it to a mechanic not a butcher. So if you want to know about islam you go to the muslim and the source i.e. The qur'an, not the media. I asked what she knew about islam. She said not a lot, but she doesn't believe in God or anything (pointing to the sky). She said its just sky up there, you see, no God! I asked if she was in a room and looked at the ceiling would that mean there is nothing outside the room? Again she understood the analogy and after this she was very willing to accept |
